Luck

I must say I have been having extremely good luck here. Here are some instances:

1. I have an excellent mentor that is so sweet. I'm lucky to have come to know their family. The other assistants don't seem to have the same type of relationship with their mentors.

2. The bus I ride to school (which takes 40 minutes) drops me right in front of the building. My roommate rides the same bus for 40 minutes and then has a 20 minute walk to her school.

3. I have a 3 day work week- I'm off Wednesday and Thursday. This will give me time to study for the GRE and just explore around the area. Also, let's be real, it gives me ample time to keep up with all my TV shows from the States.

4. My apartment is centrally located and I can walk to the beach, the grocery store, the market, the bus stop, and the train station, all within 5 minutes.

5. I got placed in the BEAUTIFUL French Riviera for the next 6.5 months!

6. There is a boulangerie pretty much everywhere from where I can buy fresh baguettes and croissants if I want to daily.
